We started selectcursor because hiring kept getting in the way of building. This is the story.
One team,
one focus.
selectcursor started when we kept seeing the same problem: Proptech and Fintech scale-ups needed senior engineers who understood their domain, but traditional hiring was too slow, and agencies either lacked technical depth or charged opaque rates.
So we built the company we wished existed: a boutique model where you talk directly to the people who run it. The same people who vet the engineers scope the projects and stay involved throughout the engagement.
Today our engineers are sourced globally to cover multiple timezones, with a mandatory 6-hour EU overlap and an onboarding process refined across 50+ projects.
